Larry Lytle

Larry grew up in Indianapolis Indiana. He got his bachelor's from Purdue University in 1985 and his MBA from Indiana University in 1996.

Larry spent the first 15 years of his career in IT. 10 years with Eli Lilly in Pharmaceutical Research and 5 years at the Arizona Republic newspaper. While still working at the newspaper, Larry and his father did a deep dive to answer the question “If there were no barriers (economic, educational, geographical, family responsibilities), what would you spend your day doing?”. This discussion became a 2-year project with monthly meetings and agenda items. As a result of this analysis, Larry made the jump to Financial Advising in 2004.

Larry started his career at Smith Barney and has worked at Merrill Lynch and Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) before opening Wiser Advisor Group in 2023 with his son Zach.

Larry is consistently learning and expanding his knowledge base. He currently holds titles of Certified Financial Planner®, Certified Exit Planning Advisor®, and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy®.

Larry has a passion for serving his community. He started his first nonprofit in the late 1980s. He founded the Indiana chapter of an international charity that grew to offices in every state and about 50 nations around the world. Thus far, he has helped launch 17, shut 3 down, and has worked in almost every capacity. See the Giving Back page to discover the charitable efforts Larry is currently pursuing.

Larry has always been a planner and a big believer in "bucket lists". He developed his initial list in 1989 - a full 18 years before the movie came out. Much of the list centers on new experiences and travel.

Larry and his wife Tracey have four grown kids, three cats, three grand-doggies, and two grand-rabbits, all of whom live in the Phoenix area.
